I want to introduce you to some of my favorite miniature creators who showcase the immense potential of dollhouses and miniatures, inspiring me to think creatively.
My literature professor shared a valuable piece of advice: “If you aspire to be a novelist, don’t just stick to novels. Explore history, poems, news, and other stories.” Taking this wisdom to heart, I’ve embraced a variety of miniature dollhouses made from different materials. Here are a few creators who have left a lasting impression on me:
1. Mini Station:
I stumbled upon this YouTube channel around 2021. This creator takes material kits and gives them a unique color twist. Occasionally, s/he adds her/his own accessories, making them the focal point of the house. I adore the color combinations s/he uses and was initially inspired to customize my own DIY kit. Eventually, I decided to design my very own dollhouse.
2. Hannah Levesque
Her paper-made houses are a testament to intricate detailing. Whether it’s an outdoor picnic scene or a stunning Parisian building, her creations remind me that even paper can work magic.
3. Robin Davis Studio
Her masterpieces are among the most unique I’ve come across so far. Using wood and metal, she crafts robots and prepares scenes for her mini creations. It’s incredibly creative, and she’s a genuinely kind soul.
4.Mary in the fairy land
For those who love both nature and miniature houses, this creator is a must-follow. Using wood and other natural materials, he places mini houses in forest or nature scenes, seamlessly blending nature and artificial elements to create a fairyland for us to enjoy.
5.Hannah Lemon
Not only does she sell her clay-made plants in her store, but she also crafts beautiful houses and furniture. You can check out her website here. Her participation in the UK show “Best Miniature” opened my eyes to more events and the vast potential within the miniature industry.
